The Project

GAZE Studios partnered with NK Collective to develop a premium e-commerce website that would showcase original artwork while providing a seamless online shopping experience for customers across Australia and internationally. The project required more than a standard website build. GAZE Studios needed an online art store that combined bold creative presentation with reliable 

e-commerce functionality, artist portfolio pages and print on demand fulfilment. The website also needed to support multiple artwork sizes, framing options and product variations without making the purchasing experience confusing for customers. A major objective was to create a strong digital platform that represented the GAZE Studios identity while giving each participating artist space to share their work and background. The completed website needed to feel visually distinctive, remain easy to navigate and provide a scalable foundation for adding new artists, collections and products in the future.

What We Delivered

NK Collective designed and developed a custom Squarespace e-commerce website for GAZE Studios, including a branded homepage, online shop, individual product listings, artist profile pages and curated artwork collections. The website was integrated with Gelato to support print-on-demand production and fulfilment. Each artwork was carefully configured with the required sizes, pricing, print formats and framing options before being synchronised with the online store. Dedicated artist pages were created to introduce the people behind the work and allow visitors to explore artwork by individual creator. Products were also organised by style, category and featured collections, giving customers several clear ways to browse the gallery. The store structure, product information and calls to action were developed to guide customers naturally from artwork discovery through to purchase.

Design & Development

The Squarespace website design was tailored to GAZE Studios’ bold visual identity, using strong imagery, modern typography and spacious gallery style layouts to keep the artwork at the centre of the experience.

Navigation was carefully planned so visitors could move easily between the homepage, artist profiles, collections and individual product pages. Product layouts were designed to clearly display artwork details, available sizes, framing selections and pricing without overwhelming the customer.

The Gelato integration required detailed product setup and testing. Every artwork variation was reviewed to ensure pricing, print specifications and fulfilment settings were correctly connected. Shipping regions, product availability, checkout functionality and mobile responsiveness were also tested before launch.

Particular attention was given to the mobile shopping experience so customers could browse collections, view artwork and complete purchases across different screen sizes.

The Outcome

The completed website gave GAZE Studios a professional online gallery and e-commerce platform that combines creative presentation with practical commercial functionality.

Artists can now be showcased through dedicated profiles while customers can explore collections and purchase print on demand artwork through one connected website. The Gelato integration supports automated production and fulfilment, reducing the need for manual order management as the store grows.

The final result is a scalable Squarespace e-commerce website that supports artist visibility, international sales and future collection expansion.
