Built Different Goods Google & Meta Ads
Targeted Google Ads and Meta advertising campaigns created to increase brand visibility, attract relevant website traffic and support online product sales.

The Brief
A strong point of difference that needed visibility
Built Different Goods sells custom printed hoodies, t-shirts, crewnecks, tumblers, stubby holders and mugs across Australia, with inclusive sizing from S through to a true 5XL.
The brand had a strong catalogue and clear niche across automotive, Australian music, retro, humour and off road designs. The challenge was reaching both customers actively searching for larger sizes and those more likely to discover the products through their interests.
Approach
Search captures demand. Social creates it.
A combined Google Ads and Meta Ads strategy was developed, with each platform serving a different purpose.
Google Ads targeted high intent searches around 4XL and 5XL hoodies, custom printed clothing and inclusive sizing.
Meta Ads focused on discovery using interest-based targeting across automotive, music, trucking, retro and off road audiences.
Campaigns were structured around the existing catalogue so new products and collections could be added without rebuilding the advertising strategy.
Outcome
Two channels working together
Built Different Goods finished the project with paid search and paid social campaigns working side by side.
Google Ads captures customers already searching for relevant products and sizes, while Meta Ads builds awareness across Facebook and Instagram.
The campaign structure was also designed to scale with new collections, seasonal ranges and future products.
Frequently asked Questions
Do I need both Google Ads and Meta Ads?
Not always and it depends on what you sell. If people already search for your product, Google earns its place. If your product is visual and people would want it once they saw it, Meta does more.
Plenty of businesses only need one, and it is worth being told that rather than sold both.
How long before advertising starts working?
Paid social usually shows some signal within days because it reaches volume quickly. Search takes longer, because it needs real query data before the wasted spend can be trimmed out. Either way, the first fortnight is information rather than results.
Can you run ads for a store you did not build?
Yes. Built Different Goods was already trading on Shopify with its site built by another provider.
Advertising works with whatever platform the store already runs on, and there is no need to move or rebuild anything to get started.
